A Sealed Masterpiece

In a court of law no chance to win
Reality dawns and the tears begin
Breaking all the rules - to give in
To a feeling so strong - felt within

It came so fast like a bolt from the blue
Even more strange when it came from you
A tender hug hoping you'd never undo
Lingering thought - 'fine' or 'no thank you'

A voice kept saying he may have a wife
My heart kept saying - you have the right
To enter a tunnel - to begin a new life
Knowing at the end there may be no light

We laughed we cried we shared our sorrow
Moved so closely like our own shadow
Hearts entwined warm gentle & mellow
Engulfed in a freedom like a flying swallow

Beyond this chapter lies a sealed master piece
The vows of love a next life - if there ever is
Falling in love I thought was a breeze
But the pain is profound it never would ease

Another wonderful yet saddening piece. Always horrible when things in life go wrong. Well written though, 5/5. Em
