Watching the birds in the backyard,
The sky turned orange and started raining.
Droplets bounced off of the grass,
Propelling forward into nothing.
The wind was faint,
Atmosphere humming,
Tears seeped out and wouldn't stop coming.
It seemed so real, everything perfect,
And for once, I wanted to live.
Nothing in this world can compare to that moment,
When I finally realized I was something more.
All this time I was caught in my mind,
Never knowing what to look for.
