She told me that she had to go
and leave she did that very night
all I could do was watch as my heart walked
through the door and what was I to do but watch

Watch as my life changes
right in front of my eyes
Watch as Five years of memories
began to become just a distant
thought a glimmer of light
in the starry sky that is my guide

Thats all she left me with
these images these fragments of thought
these mental sounds that echo
through my skulls empty
caverns

Before I could say stay she
was gone, my blue birds
song she's heard before so used
to my melody simply immune to
my tune of love

So its just me in my own nothingness
She told me that she
had to go and go she did
