A cool chill rolls down my spine,
as I walk down the pebbled road.
The air seems to breeze by,
instead of the usual sticky sensation.
Nightfall is awaiting,
and the sun sets in a slow motion.
Pink clouds roll in distinctly,
colliding with the soft blue of the sky.
Laughter sets from afar,
from the mischievous children.
Now I look back at my forgotten thoughts,
of when I was the age of youngsters.
Fairy tales flooded my mind like a sea,
dreams of flying and mermaids.
How I miss my naive mind of wonders,
how I would imagine my own world.
I walk towards the laughter,
growing louder with each dreamy step.
Smiles seemed to surround my atmosphere,
and joy flowed like blood in my veins.
I see the happiness in the children,
and sudden flashes come back to me.
When the damp grass prickled my toes,
and the rain dripped on my sweet face.
Beauty ran through me like a thousand horses,
while music constantly played like a sweet chime.
The moon soon arose,
and my night of fairies and wishes would end.
Wow great poem!!!!!
