The Mind's Door

by Cassi   Jul 25, 2007

It's like I've told you all before
The mind's an open door
A door in which we forget to close
A door from which comes many shows

A fear of death
breathing the last breath
From a kid upon the floor

A happiness of love not lost
but never saying whom its cost
from a girl who's dreams are sore

Sadness felt by many dealt
A great deal from sorrow's store
Selling heartache and cheap heartbreak
From shelves floating just above the core

Pain from others wretched grasp
Around the neck a sudden gasp
And loud fall and one last rasp
Before the deed is bore.

Many things pass through one mind
Many things they long to find
Leaving thoughts of failure behind
As they walk through the mind's door

They discover that it was open...

...because it was never meant to be closed
