Persuing Her Affection

by Jenni Marie   Jul 25, 2007

Each night that she goes to sleep
Wakes with a smile upon her face
For she's been to a fairyland
Where she's in her rightful place

She dances with her lover
In fields so lush and green
Faces shadowed in darkness
Lit by glowing moonbeams

Hair cascading down her back
As he twirls her gracefully around
Out here in this wonderland
Happiness has been found

Yet when her eyes open once more
She's overcome with terrible fear
For the object of her affection
She'll only pursue him here
