Long Gone

by RainbowSlider   Jul 25, 2007

If you need a hug I am here for you.
If you need a kiss; know what to do?
For long gone are those days of woo.
When it made a difference gone, too.

The want in you responds to my crave.
Who told you that you had to behave?
A moment of your time and I am a knave.
Maybe to you; You think I am deprave.

Oh, I know you think I am but a Jester.
You say that you don't like to pester?
But a simple smile or a slight gesture
Can really cause my heart to fester.

You know my arms are always there.
Can't tell me or You can't really share?
You come from the land of nowhere.
Long gone you go and then I just stare.

I look where you were and think; Wow!
Have I really become an open book, now?
Makes this difference to me; Somehow.
At least when you leave; Take a bow.
