It's A Dare

This poem is about, well, you make it what you want, but the ending is saying "Hey, I'll do this for you, but you didn't really do anything for me." Basically. =] Enjoy.
```````````````````````````````````````````
Oh, those bright and shining stars are much to far from here,
Those lullabies we sing, are too loud for our own ears.
We'll cough up dignity with clarity and we'll soon declare,
"Oh, baby, baby, you're thoughts are mangled, but it's a dare."
We'll forget the beast of contempt inside and push it further around;
(This forget me not is turning into that poisonous alcohol in which we can drown.)
"Pull yourself together," we'll speak loud and precise,
"You're going to fall anyways so you might as well look nice."
Oh, those bright and shining stars are much to far from here,
Those lullabies we sing, are too loud for our own ears.
We'll cough up dignity with clarity and we'll soon declare,
"Oh, baby, baby, you're thoughts are mangled, but it's a dare."
Now, there's much to forgiveness, but I can tell you I never bothered to care,
Forgetting is definitely more of my issue, or wait is that revenge in the air?
Baby, baby, you can tell me your secrets, but with each passing day,
I'll act like I don't remember, or maybe I'll remind you and dare to say,
"You've got enough change in your pocket, baby, but my clouds are still grey."
    As you said everyone will interpret how they want, but the way I looked at it was great.
    The flow was beautiful and just the way your emotions were portrayed by such expressions and descriptions. Wow.
    But great job!
    Smugness, m'dear. This piece sweltered an intense smugness throughout the page. Yet I didn't particularly feel the sadness. Rather, I felt the subject's haughtiness as a result of its tone of voice. Quite an out of the ordinary way to portray a broken relationship. =] Kudos, Sheena! (^^,)
    5.5, as always. Heh.
