Standing on the sideline

by Kristin   Jul 26, 2007

I look at you from the corner of my eye
I think about you but I doubt you'd care
You don't seem to notice me
And you don't seem to care
You have the smile of a little kid on the last day of school
Happy, fun, and full of mystery
Your eyes shine and hide the true you
As the stars do in the dark sky at night
The way your body is toned, from long days at work
Makes my heart melt and me want to fall to the ground
Theirs more to you then most people would know
But I can tell from the mystery you hold
Not only are you handsome, sweet, funny, and amazing
But you want more in life
Then parties, cars and girls
I hope one day you awake and realize I've been
Standing on the sidelines
Waiting for you to notice me
