Waiting for you...

by Twinkle   Jul 26, 2007

You and me,
Walking on the streets of friendship,
Holding hands,
Smiles spread across the faces...
See a thin line on the street,
Astonished, look at each other...
An unspoken question in our eyes
What is that line...
I stop to ask a passer-by
please, can you tell me...
what that line defines?
this is the end of the friendship street,
comes the answer,
love starts from here...
I turn around to you
with the smile back on my face,
Just to see a blank space.
I search for you desperately and then...
I see the familiar silhouette,
across the line,
fading in the distance,
Peeping through the fog...
Ah! that's you
Happily i run to you,
crossing the line, naively,
Just in time to see you vanishing
tearfully i turn around..
and what do i see!
Your ever smiling face
distorted in a frown...
and your eyes scanning around...
where are you...
they seem to question...
And here we are!!!
On opposite sides of the street
I'm waiting for you...
you're searching for me!
