First Blues

by Jasmine   Jul 26, 2007

At dawn I spoke his name
and for the first time
the night and day became the same.

I realized I have never moved before
and saw peace being packaged
but never knew who it was for.

At noon he came to me
spread my wings and made me see
the never ending beauty before me
and I suddenly caught myself doubting
if it was real,
can this really be??

Then dawn gently fell upon my eyes
revealing the distance between truth and lies
and as the evening devoured the illusion
disappearing into night
I lost him surely as that day lost its light.

^those lines are very strong. they are amazing. All in all though, the poem was great.
