Timid Love

Spell bound fear, release her pride
Selfish nature branded within
Priceless dreams rapidly condemned
Scars and fear provided by ego driven men
Her wings clipped by their dim neglect
...Scars and fear
...Scars and fear
Resilience from her closest Peers

Spell bound fear, release her pride
What must be done, these stale prayers
Defeated with my face in the dirt
Endless labor, piercing only one layer
Shielding her truthful nature
...Endless labor
...Endless labor
Dried out are hands of time

Spell bound fear, release her pride
Pleasure locked in dignity
Trying to expose the light within her smile
Confident in my survival on her love alone
...Trying to expose
...Trying to expose
Her love, her smile, she is my patron

Spell bound fear, release her pride
Wasteful to think of such feeble hope
Still words of strength to find love
Yet devoted as a fiend to free drugs
Numbing agony, my heart implodes
...Still words of strength
...Still words of strength
Failed, I still await her
TIMID LOVE

This sounds all too familiar. From many broken promises a woman may become timid. Life happens and fear takes over. Sad story it is but I think this is my life.

Your poetry expresses so many different aspects of life. From "all races and all ages" people can relate! I love you for you have a beautiful heart and a way with words that can not be matched! Keep writing...it's what you do best!

    Tuflay!!!!
