Tears

by Serina the Squid   Jul 26, 2007

On the wind that pounds on the windows of my mind
Are the tears of a thousand tales there for me to find
I weave into life those I'm willing to share
Forming words from the dust and virgin air
With each word I form, I'm peeling off layers of me
I'm exposing myself with each word that I write, every click of a key
The people I would be and the places I would go
I put it all on paper and the world I then show
But what no one knows it that they're reading my dreams
The tears of my tales are the tears of my schemes
And the tears of my tales are the tears I don't shed
For I'll only cry if I'm acting (again)
There are many stories I keep in my head
But I've wished more than once that the world had read
My tales and my pain, the stuggle of my years
Oh, I wish that people knew that my tales are my tears

With each poem I read of your's it is just getting better and better :)

This was beautifully written, I loved the emotion and depth in this and the simple repetition you used about the tears are your tales made for a very powerful effect.
