Wreched

by Vincent Thornsberry   Jul 27, 2007

My lips yearn for a kiss
My body yearns for her touch
My eyes crave her beauty
My nose craves her lovely scent
My hands wish to touch her
My arms wish to hold her
But, my mouth, alas,
though it wishes her kisses
Says things it does not mean
My mouth throws daggers that wound her
My mouth, though it can only move air,
pushes her away
it slaps her dreams out of the sky
it tears her opinions to peices
My entire being loves her to its core
All except my mouth
Which, though it doesn't mean to,
causes her to hurt more than any other part of me could.

This is the first poem I've ever written. i wrote it as an apology to my girlfrind after a pointless argument that I started.

I loved the mood you created in the beginning. It lured me in and made me want more. The love expressed here was one I could relate with. Well done *5/5*
