Angel Eyes

by Serina the Squid   Jul 28, 2007

I see angels dancing by
Across an empty auburn sky
And see the sunlight glinting red
Across the feathers blackened dead
And in their eyes a glint of hope
A spark that sees and learns to cope
Fingers long and self-assured
Gentle curves that men have lured
Roseless cheeks stained winter pale
And hearts that tell an icy tale
Silent lips that sing the hymns
Of bloody souls and tired limbs
Scabs of mind too numb to hurt
And feet that fly too high for dirt
And while their dance is one of pain
They indeed are far more sane
Than any human is or was
For in their heart they still can love

The imagery was erfect throughout this definitly vivid and beautiful. The flow was again almost chant like you have real talent when it comes to making a poem flow and I admire that. A gorgeous poem. Which was interesting to read and didn't bore me from start to finish. Loved it. ~mel
