Tourniquet, poems and needles.

by Disenchanted   Jul 28, 2007

A Tourniquet a day,
Keeps the Venom at bay,
Threatening to kill me in my sleep.
And though it seems, I like the dreams,
They are but burdens,
That I keep.

A shot a day,
Keeps the agony at bay,
Threatening to make me bleed.
But I will not bleed,
Because it's real enough to me,
The agony is but a dream..

A poem a day,
Keeps the Suicide at bay,
The death that's breathing on my neck.
Though, do not fret, because in the end,
The tourniquet will fail,
The shot won't impale,

And the poem will fail
To keep the suicide at bay.
