When the Pain Returns

by Vanessa   Jul 28, 2007

Waiting impatiently for it all to end
Happiness isn't real, so we pretend
Empty souls paired with shattered hearts
Nothing matters in a world thats fell apart

Troubling memories are surfacing again
Hatred now our only loyal friend
Every thing feels like its a dream

Pain is in control of everything
Another day passes, and another tear falls
In the darkness, you hear it call
Nothing matters as it fills our minds

Remnants of a past we will never leave behind
Embers glowing in the distant fire
Tempting us with ungodly desire
Under our make-up our bruises hide
Returns the feeling of being terrified
Nothing changes and nothing is learned
Slowly our lives will crash and burn
