Love Wasn't All That She Lost That Night.

As the tears hit the ground,
neither makes a sound,
as they both know that its over,
they both know that its time to say goodbye.
And is starts to rain
the house fills with pain
from two broken hearts.
Faces filled with happiness have all gone away,
one has to go, while the other has to stay..
Hand in hand like old times,
they walk out to see the sky..
as nothing up above, but the twinkle of a star.
and as they look around,
to notice that they've gotten this far..
they both ask themselves,
"How long does love last,
or will you become my past?"
They know if they would just take the time
to open up their eyes
and see whats in front of them
that there wont be any goodbyes
But to have the ability,
to move on and see what lies ahead in their life
that there wont be any goodbyes.
And now its really late,
the house fills with hate
as he's said to not be strong enough,
as she's said to not love enough.
Two flaming hearts fill with rage,
and its all emptied out onto one plate.
They've pushed each other too far,
and she grabs the keys to the car....

...And as she spins out of the driveway,
he learns the same things..
That now that its all in her past,
she presses on the gas.
The next day they all learn,
that black skid marks wasn't all she left behind,
and that love wasn't all she lost that night
