Dreams in the Day

by Pia   Jul 28, 2007

Daydreams bring me far away,
A winding journey in a play;
It wraps me up in its cocoon,
And holds me tightly in its womb.

A secret world I do create,
Whilst I am in this peaceful state;
Vivid and real the illusions are,
As tangible as a distant star.

Engulfs me in a state of mind
of pure delirium I can't decline,
It's something I can only afford
in the sanctuary of my thoughts.

It rocks me slow in its pontoon,
On water surrounding mighty dunes;
And when the boat lulls me no more,
I'd wake up staring at the door.
