As she lay there

As she lay there
Tears filled her eyes
She was so unhappy
So lonely
She longed to be loved
She had loved so many
but no one
returned her love

As she lay there
Thinking
All her feelings
Over powering her
Feelings of hate and anger
She hoped they would vanish
After a while
But they didn't

As she lay there
Wondering
Why she felt so much hatred
Especially for herself
Wondering
How she could get rid of them
Finally she got her answer
She knew what she had to do

As she lay there
Listening
Waiting
For the house to be still
Waiting for everyone to leave
The house silent now
The blood flows and the hatred lifts
As she presses the blade upon her skin

As she lay there
So pale and cold
And yet so peaceful
She seemed so happy now
So at ease
Her face showed little emotion and yet
so much meaning
As she lay there
Her soul now at peace
