Rage (Double Etheree)

by Debbie   Jul 28, 2007

His
rage had
no measure
as vicious flames
flittered and fluttered
in disdain. Flustered, I
recklessly danced my way to
ease the fury borne on his mind!
Yet Beauty's rose had withered and drooped
within the manger of his brittle heart.

O, solemn and infinite Universe,
What foolishness have I brought to life?
In disgrace ill-fate dimmed my path,
with listless flames sweltering
malice in my brazen
mind... Ah! Good Heavens,
may the stars blush
at his face
with rage-
Rage!

The easier a format is, the harder it is to make the poem sound poetic. But you pulled it off. You used great descriptions and limited the usage of "I" Nice job
