As we sit there
Around the bed
Sheets of green and white
pillows as hard as rock
How you could lie in there so long
we never knew
You were an amazing person
You helped anyone in need
You would do anything
for anyone
no matter how hard it was
you were great
you were as fit as a fiddle
you walked all over
you didn't mind it though
you said
you enjoyed it
we all knew the day would come
when you would be taken from us
but we didn't realise
how soon it would
actually be
so you can imagine
how shocked we were
when we got the phone call
we couldn't believe it
how could this happen to you
you were so healthy
why did it happen to you
why did god have to
take you from us
what was his reason?
I cant think of any
why did god have to do this to us
we miss you dearly
even after all this time
7 years seem so long
but at the same time
its like you were here yesterday
we miss you so much
as you lay beneath us
you will always be in our hearts
as we grieve for our loss
