A Star sonnet

by megan   Jul 28, 2007

I sit on my porch and look at the sky,
I see the simmering dots that float there
Like fireflies that are so very shy
Flying up there without a single care

When I walk they give me a glowing light
They are joined by the lonely little moon
They all say that its a beautiful sight
As they all watch over the graceful loon

Now they are fading because of the sun
And they are waving and saying goodbye
The stars journey through the night is now done
There they go, leaving me with a sad sigh

It makes me so sad when they have to pass

Forever in my heart they still will last

This is quite well written. And it is, in itself, just as graceful. Well done.
