I feel so close to you
But you're so far away
I want to love you
But I don't think there's a way

You've always been there for me
Through everything and more
I thank you dearly
You've helped me off the floor

Don't ever change
Not for anyone
You're perfect the way you are
Don't listen to them, have fun

I can't think or more
I've got my point across
It's time to shut the door
And say goodbye

    This is the one I picked by scrolling and pointing. And as luck would have it, I liked it alot. I had to read it twice to get the feel of it, but that extra read helped realize how powerful the opening lines were to me. Then, relating to the title, I noticed I was once in the same position.

    But annnnywayyyys Great job. :)
