Another Day

by LizBeth Unknown   Jul 29, 2007

Another day has come and gone.
I carved a heart into my arm.
Watched it bled and watched it break.
Sqooshing the words, "You Are Too Late."
Guess I will find my own way back.
Converse shoes on railroad tracks.
Counting bars and passing drinks.
I am alone or at least I think.
I miss your words and I miss your eyes.
Hands outstretched towards the sky.
Wasted nights spent at the park.
Swinging, sliding, after dark.
My rhyming words spelt on this page.
Growing dim with passing days.
Maybe someone might find my will.
Maybe you are waiting for me still.
As for now, the sun has set.
Another day has came and went.
