That day

by libby   Jul 29, 2007

Beneath a starry shy i crept
beneath a tree i wept
and lay there still as dead i slept
until the break of day.
my body felt the pain race through
there was nothing left for me to do
but lay there still as life withdrew
from my heart that day
my soul knew only love for him so pure and bright that none can dim but for a dark fate's cruel sweet whim
that ripped my heart that day.
it left me cold and hollow there my soul wrenched open,
cool and bare my body living aware that life went on that day i feel his breath against my cheek a sweet love gone i cannot keep him near to me the pain so deep crumbling that day.

This is very good, i love it 5/5
but you should go through and punctuate it.. it really makes alot of difference. someone told me this on one of the first poems i posted on here and at first i thought it was nothing but after ive read punctuated poems and not so punctuated ones i see the difference... just a suggestion.

    Great Job =)
