Not your average gal

by Maria   Jul 29, 2007

I'll be waitin' on the side of the road with
my old tony lama's and straw hat.
Have your car door open so i can jump in on the run
and we'll never look back.
I'll be waitin' on the bank of a lake
by the way, hook me up with some live worm bate.
When you can't find me around the house
and expect me to be cleanin dishes,
i'll be under the hood of an old Chevy pickup
breakin' my knuckles on those three-sixteenth wrenches
You'll ask me if you're drivin' too fast,
i'll climb over you and take the wheel hittin' that gas.
Don't take me out for a nice dinner, with 50 dollars a plate
just buy a bag of deer jerky and an Arizona tea,
that's my kinda reservation without a line and an hour wait.
Just when you think you've had enough,
i'll yell "let's hit that honky tonk"
where we can dance to 'Gimmie three steps'
and drink our whiskey proud.
All that's need to be said,
i've spilled it out just now.
The moonlights shinin' and i'm a gal who's
in love with everythin' about small country towns.
