Kelli was a popular girl Head of the cheerleading team And as she got on the stage The crowd cheered and screamed But judging by her expression The sad one on her face The crowd immediately stopped the noise And listened to what she had to say On the screen behind her Sadly but true Was the picture of a girl Nobody really knew Kelli pointed to the picture And moved so we could all see She grabbed the microphone and said This girl her name was Tali The crowd continued to be silent As Kelli came back to speak She slowly cleared her throat The words to explain she seeked Only one fourth of this room Has ever really noticed this face And what you do not know Was to herself she was a disgrace She was never liked She never had any friends And we all shut her out And made her dreams end See, Tali loved cheerleading But we never gave her a chance We shunned her right away Before even letting her dance We knew she was upset But nobody really cared We all just walked by her And did not even bother to stare Because in our eyes she was ugly In our eyes she was weird In our eyes she did not belong And another day of taunting she feared That night Tali went home And took out her blade And Tali cut her wrist This was her only escape But that night she was so upset That she cut too deep And out of her wrist She let the blood seep Her blood-covered bathroom Last night tali died The doctors had told her parents that Tali had committed suicide She wanted to die Because She never fit in Just close your eyes for a sec And put yourself in her position Imagine being bullied Since the day you started school Just for being different Some people can be so cruel Those people are us We did this to her We sent her over the edge And there are some lessons to be learned Never leave people out And watch for all the signs Of people that are in need Of anything in sight Some might need food Some might need a friend But no matter what they need You can be there helping hand A dream should not be crushed No matter whose dream The person should not matter But as it seems For some it is just too tough And us peers just make it worse So remember one last thing Before your actions cannot be reversed If you see someone in need No second thought, no second glance Because what you may not know Is you may be there last chance
