The day, A Girl Died

by enigmatic_prey   Jul 30, 2007

I still remember the day
When I met a lonely girl.
She seemed to run away
From a place she called home.
She sat beside me
On the bench in a park.
In her eyes you could see
Loneliness that marked.
Then she began crying
While staring at me sadly.
I heard her whining
For the pain killing her softly.
I tried to ask her why
But she just answered me
"I want now to die,
In this world, I'll be free."
I couldn't move a step
For I was in trance.
There, I let her wept
While she had a chance
She told me her story
About her miserable life,
Things which made her lonely
And all her strifes.
She even told me the guy
The one who left her
Who was the one she truly loved,
Still longing for him somewhere.
Suddenly,she clenched her fists
From her pocket, she got a knife
Then she slit her wrist,
Taking her own life.
I tried to stop her
But she just shook her head.
"Please let me go",
That was what she said.
I didn't know what to say
'Cause it was too late.
Death already took her
But there was still hate
In her heart remained.
