The DEER

by Jaded Serenity   Jul 30, 2007

The deer
watch him
his graceful prance across the pasture
strong ye peaceful animal
a Symbol of Christ
majestic yet Territorial
the lovely flow of brown across it's fur
the little white tail
how can you kill such an animal for sport
an animal more scared of you than ever of itself or own kind
how can you kill this animal as it innocently grazes across the pasture
how could you?

Hunting is a really horrible thing, and this poem creates empathy, there are many people out there who just dont see how cruel it is to kill so many beautiful animals that exist in our world. It has become a part of many peoples lives, even so, a part of our society.
