~ Tension ~
By: Travis Gruber

Its binding, winding, grinding,
Its gotten so bad its mentally blinding,
The world seems to be on fast forward while Im on pause,
It seems everyone else is fine, but at me this tension gnaws,
I watch them hurriedly pass by absorbed inside pitiful lives,
Unfaithful husbands lying to unfaithful wives,
Ungrateful children raised by ungrateful people,
False preachers preaching underneath false steeples,
Why doesnt the world heed the warnings to the error of its ways?,
For its ignorance is the principle why in this paused existence I stay,
Something must change, someone must budge,
Somehow somebody must get a motivational nudge,
We must slow down and help fix our mutual problems,
If we cannot, a doomed existence our fate becomes.

"We must slow down and help fix our mutual problems,

This poem has sparked an idea, wouldnt it be great if we could turn back time and edit every mistake of human kind, then reality kicks in and I think even if we could turn back we would probably do the same things all over again. There is still hope for the future, its in our hands. A great write, thought provoking too.
