SORROW OF DEATH

by the poet formerly known as chuck   Jul 30, 2007

Black is the day
the atmosphere dull and lifeless
people in the corner sobbing
a man Lie's still
his mind set free
it was an accident they say
a brother unable to cope
now two bodies lie still
separated by only air and wood
a father horrified at the sight of his son
the body swinging to and fro
his face blue and lifeless
the father begins to weep
how can one bare the loss of his kids
the man now cuts the boy down
holding him in his arms for the last time
only able to whisper his name through sobs of tears
the man now sits on the floor
cradling his youngest son a father looses his mind
