Pains End

I take another step forward,
Making my way out of the dark abyss
But i still hear the haunting whispers,
Ever stalking, my Emotions twist
Pulling me backward,
No, not this again!
My past demons have reawakened, I am,
Back where the pain begins

I have no strength,
To resist them this time
So I accept their precious,
gifts the shackles that bind
I feel the cold metal,
Sink deep into my skin

Perhaps animal or slave
No laughter, for my heart is barely beating,
"Freedom" no longer my crave
Crimson is all my eyes see,
As the nail drives deeper within
Pinning me down, I am stuck,

Demons dance in a blaze around me,
In fear, my hands raise to my face
Cowering I begin to crawl,
"Darkness" blinds me like a burning mace
My hope is lost...
I cannot win...
But then there is another whisper,
Here, where the pain begins?

My eyes reopen slowly,
As I watch the demons flee
And still the whisper continues,
even throughout this tragedy
I hastily run toward the sound,
And upon sight of her, the darkness begins to thin
