Tender Is The Heart

by Twisted Heart   Jul 31, 2007

Upon the night there is a whisper,
deep inside the soul
It comes to tear the heart away
and leave it in the cold

The tender pain that finds release
inside the mind it quakes
Among the sifts of fantasies
that haunt from yesterday.

Too many times the trials come
to fight upon a breath
To sink among the tepid ruins
that thrive in it's caress

Red petal tears of loneliness
weighs heavy on the mind
Like willows in the wind they sway
against the hands of time

No hope comes to the heart that beats
inside the shadow's fall
No tender mercy for the soul
in the night there to recall

Just crushing sounds of breaking
in the wreckage left to hear
Silenced by the heartache
that is heard in every tear.

    Miss Jeannie,

I'm utterly enchanted! How you've weaved your words to form this poignant work was very, very spectacular. I enjoyed the plaintive ambiance and tone of voice of this piece; plus, the sensory images were awfully touching. A delightful read.

    Take care,
    Marian

Very good piece. you have such a magnificent wording to all your poems. I don't know how you think such deep, complex thoughts to make such beautiful poetry. It's just unimaginable to me!
