My Happy Ending

by Krazy   Jul 31, 2007

I stand here
patiently waiting for those 2 words
as memories pass through my tears

That dark summer night
Lit only by stars
First time we shared our love

Walks through the park
Two hands fitting perfectly
Growing closer with every step

Boat rides that lasted a century
Contentment flowing in with the tides
Smiles filling the air

Every memory
Every moment
Every emotion

Spiraling to this
Right here, right now
My Happy Ending
I Do

Aw I loved this poem. It reminds me of someone standing at the alter on their wedding day thinking back to all of the things that they used to do together everything up until when the minister ask them if they do. I really loved how each description was very brief yet filled with such power, love, and was one of the simple things that most couples do. nice work,
