Regret & Sorrow In The Mind Of A Loner

by Matthew   Jul 31, 2007

Time, perceiving it waste away do to failure and indecision
Heading towards bereavement faster yet
All of his past intertwined
It's snowing in his mind
A silence that ails him
Unable to look at the lone picture frame of a girl on the edge of the desk
He feels regret, pouring through a crack in his heart
Sees all the items in others he once was
Repulsed by the false idols they think they are
Hoarding around him they see curiosity in the quiet individual
"I just want to be alone"
Thinking of them...
Misanthropy dangles on a thread in front of his eyes
But, he assertively says no
Remembers the female in his rust stained past
Realizes what needs to be done
And moves to commit the deed
