Tears Of A Rose

by Dennis   Jul 31, 2007

Do you see the tears of a rose
Can you feel the empty heart of a leafless elm
Feel the loneliness of a single drop of water
Feel the warmth of a snowflake

Capture loving tenderness from
a cactus who laughs at the clouds
Do you feel the tears of a rose
falling into the softness of a rock

The leaves listening for love
yet blood drips off the thorns
Can you hear it when a
flower speaks your name

Exceptionally written hun. Being a floral designer, I could feel the gentle swaying motion of the poem and smell the sweet fragrance of the rose. Life does imitate art! 5/5

This one seems to be missing something, or maybe it was just how I read it. Someone's been hurt? Maybe just in their dreams? I do like the way it was written many different ways to express emotions and feelings. And I like how you decided to portray the sadness. Maybe it's not sadness I am hearing when I read it though lol. I don't know honestly, but I do like it :)

Wow! That's so different from all the others, and so beautifully written! You have a way with words that puts images in my head when I read them, which is what poetry is meant to do. Another great job hun! Love Erika
