Why did we date?
All I have now is hate
What I did was wait

Until the day came
and we were never the same

I went to your house,
and learned what each other was about
we went to school, held hands to show we were together again
Should have went slow,
but, even so, you said "It never would have worked"

"we can still be friends" you said
that is what I hear when I lay in my bed
I remember the fights
I remember the nights of thinking of you
But despite all of that
I thought it was right
