We Are All The Same

by Vanessa   Jul 31, 2007

I am treated differently
I notice every day
because of my skin color
I do not look the same.

I just don't understand
I am a different race
to me we all are equal
we all have the same face.

It doesn't matter what color
if you're purple, pink or blue
we were all created equal
I have a heart and so do you.

We all deserve the same
so why are you so cruel
life is a game for everyone
you can't make up the rules.

You can't say where to live
this planet is mine too
we are a big family
I want to be by you.

You need to see how I feel
so you could understand
all I have to go through
for being a Mexican.
