Lies Don't Get You Anywhere

Usually all I do
Is sit and wait
But when I told him I loved him
I was seconds too late.

He looked into my eyes
And said, "I already got a girl."
And ever since that day
My heart has been in such a whirl.

Now in class
I just stare at you
Just wishing all my fantasies
Would finally come true.

I catch a glance
Of those beautiful eyes
Now I'm wising
That I could take back that like.

He asked me if I like him
And I didn't know what to say
I lied and said I didn't
And I'll never forget that day.

What a horrible mistake
Now you have someone else
