Waiting to see

Once she met him
She looked into his eyes
But she didn't see anything
She was thinking why isn't there any butterflies

She was with him for a month
She looked into his eyes once more
But nothing
She said then what am i still with him for

She just couldn't dump him
She liked him very much but didn't know what she saw
She kissed him and looked into his eyes
But didn't feel or see anything at all

She waited another 2 months
To see if there was love between them
She went to see him and looked at him differently
She looked into his eyes and there was a sparkle like a gem

She said its not the same what changed
She said I wasn't giving love a chance because i knew it was going to cost
She said I guess i didn't want to find love
Because love eventually gets lost

She told him what had happened to her
And with her he laid
He said I'm here always by your side
No more will you have to be afraid
