A Girl with an Angels Face

by blackheartslove   Aug 2, 2007

From the back of the classroom
She watches them with quiet eyes
To them she is just a girl
A girl with an angels face

Everyday she walks to school
Wearing a pink dress
Her blonde hair, tangled and matted
Is tied back with a dirty bow

Such a beautiful life
Tortured and broken so
Such a beautiful life
This girl with an angels face

Her blue eyes are filled with pain
Bruises cover her arms and legs
People turn to stare at her
But in their minds the look away

Such a beautiful life
Such a fragile soul
To carry such a burden
This girl with an angels face

At home her mommy beats her
And her daddy locks her up
But what could the world possibly do
To Help this girl with such a burdened heart

Such a beautiful life
Broken and tortured still
Such a beautiful life
This girl with an angels face

Then one day she misses school
And the letter soon arrives
This young girl who had no help
Was left without a hope

And so she lit up the night sky
And burned her parents to the ground
And then this girl with an angels face
She then took her life

Such a beautiful life
To end in such despair
Such a beautiful life
This girl with an angels face

Such a heavy burden
For a single girl to carry
Such a selfish world
That they could not see her pain

Such a beautiful life
To end in such despair
Such a beautiful life
Wearing such heavy chains

Such a beautiful life
Finally set free
Such a beautiful life
This girl with an angels face

Such a beautiful life
Finally set free
And she is ready to fly away
Cause she is such a beautiful life

I LOVE this! i can't believe people haven't read or commented on it yet.
your poems are really deep and emotional..i really felt the pain of this little girl throughout.
i loved the repetition on this as well. it makes the poem that much more effective.
    again a beautiful touching piece.
    keep it up!
