How Many Times can Your Heart be Broken

by blackheartslove   Aug 2, 2007

Fingers moving swiftly
The keyboard softly clicks
Words left unspoken
Spill onto the screen

Hearts finally opened
For the other each to sea
Hurt and anger laid aside
A dead friendship born anew

Accusations were forgotten
Hurtful words forgiven
Differences looked past
A new friendship now awaits

But fear and doubt
Hidden in the shadows
Suddenly the emerge
A seemingly impassable barrier than rises up

For each one has their secrets
They cannot look past
The future now looks dimmer
As the slowly pull away

Doubts of her beliefs
An unhelpable soul
Destined to eternal death
No on can change his mind, she's thrown him down too many times

Doubts of his sincerity
He's walked away too many times
Is she setting herself up
To fall back down again

The dark fears plague her
Like a thousand stabbing knives
Teardrops falling down tonight
As she's slowly torn apart

This girl with advice for everyone else
Has not a word for herself
And so she wonders on
Through the dark and lonely nights

The sunlight starts to fade
Her outward emotions always fake
And so she gives another chance
But will he simply break her heart just like every time before?
