True Love is Lost but not Forgotten

by blackheartslove   Aug 2, 2007

She was standing on the deck
The wind blew her hair
The sun shone on her pale, creamy skin
And he knew she was the one, more beautiful than he ever imagined

She was a young girl lost in a hardened world
A beauty on the outside but inside she was dying
She was plunging downward, loosing her grip
But then he was there, his hand reaching out

Suspicious gratitude, fake appreciation
But he was a gentleman, each to his own
Scrutiny followed his every move
But he held his ground with a confidence unknown

His love of life threw caution to the wind
Waking up ready to start a new day
Never know what would happen
Or when the journey would end

Surprise and wonder filled her eyes
What was the world like on his side
Laughter and dancing, drinks and games
Two different worlds connected by the very same heart

But appearances mean everything
Rules of society never crossed
They were kept apart by a god
But he could not end their love

Pulled apart, she came running back to him
Arms wide open, eyes tightly closed
"Jack I'm flying" he held her close
Sweet kisses in the wind

Cold night air surrounding
They held each other close
But than disaster struck
Time slipped into the sea

Chaos reigning all around
She had a chance to save herself
But she jumped back into his arms
"You jump I jump, remember?"

So down they went together
But only one could survive
She held him in her heart
And kept his memory alive until the day she died
