The horizon in the distance
A beautiful sun rising
Clouds painted hazy red

A girl in need of answers
A world gone away
Cries for help the no one hears

Light growing dimmer
The moon shining bright
The night sky a blanket—protecting the world

Deaf ears turned
Children screaming
Lives wasted

Eyes closed
People hurting, people dying
Love disappears

Peaceful surface waters
Waves crashing
Anger building beneath

Red roses wilting
