Love Unending

by sara   Aug 2, 2007

Hate between two hearts may seem,
The safest way to be,
But truth be told,
The one you hold,
Will never be like me.

Though fate may never bring together,
You and I again,
Know that I,
Before we die,
Will pay for all your pain.

I know we share, Like every flare,
That flickers in the breeze,
A single soul,
A steady flow,
Like sap upon the trees.

A guilty heart, an ending hope,
And more than most of me,
Still remains,
As crimson stains,
On what we used to be.

I have no choice, When still your voice,
It lingers in my head,
To let you know,
That when I go,
My love will not be dead.

My friend and my old lover,
You mean so very much,
A teary eye,
A sober cry,
More love than I can touch.

Remember me, let what you see,
Remind you of my face,
Let the past,
Be told at last,
And have it's rightful place.
