The Dream Of My Life

by Dan   Aug 2, 2007

She floats.
She floats upon the wings of angels in my mind, between the mental plane of reality and thought. She smiles at me and i return it, the late, setting sun highlighting her beautiful blonde hair and Sapphire-like eyes. I wrap my arms around her and slowly embrace her tight. I kiss her tender lips, and stroke her velvet hair. I never want to let go of my desire, of the one who has my heart so, who holds it in her hand without the knowledge. Her touch brings me warmth, it's all that I wish for, the beauty that she harbors within. I caress her face and she smiles weakly. She leans forward, and kisses my cheek, and in her melodic voice, she whispers in my ear, "I am yours, and i love you, as you love me". I wake with a start, lying in bed, but I know what had happened, and i again rest my head. I smile in acquiesce, something not seldom, and I say to myself, but also to her "Then i shall come claim you, my one, my love, my all".
