Fallen Idol (Double Triolet)

by Jenni Marie   Aug 2, 2007

Sitting alone in the dark, bloody tears falling from her eyes
Once she was surrounded by friends, now she's all alone
Screams so desperately loud, yet nobody hears her cries
Sitting alone in the dark, bloody tears falling from her eyes
Used to be so loved and adored , now her head's filled with lies
Slowly going insane, listening to sorrowful thoughts roam
Sitting alone in the dark, bloody tears falling from her eyes
Once she was surrounded by friends, now she's all alone

The pain in her heart as sharp as broken glass
Once stood tall, now she's just another fallen idol
Visualizing in her mind pretty scenes from the past
The pain in her heart as sharp as broken glass
Wondering why those happy memories could not last
her life now so empty, when once it was so full
The pain in her heart as sharp as broken glass
Once stood tall, now she's just another fallen idol

Triolet-Consists of 8lines.
The 1st, 4th and 7th repeat.
The 2nd and 8th repeat as well.
Rhyme scheme is abaaabab

It was an excellent write.. but triolets are only only allowed eight syllables in every line so i don't understand whats happened here, lol
Maybe just having it as a new format instead of a triolet will help =)
