Time

by GretaInsideOut   Aug 2, 2007

Time ticking away this hour,
Moon swept shadows along my face.
Solemn sorrys put to no end,
With a frantic dream to trace the time,
Time of no end,
Time of all.

Calling those who will not answer,
Forging a happy face to weep,
The time is bearing so slowly,
Time ticking away this day.

Colorless change within these walls,
A tiny fault of color pushed between the lines,
Grey house, grey dreams,
The time you wasted.

A field of pain you spread around,
Freedom had it's moment in your gaze,
Beauty you overlook today,
Time ticking away this collision.

Determined souls fuse together doubt,
Pretentious hate among your love,
Cloudy daze fog your memory,
Time elapses into nothing.

Happy faces flee for hope,
Vivacious minds without a dream,
Inclined to perish in the sun,
Time ticking by,
Timely days,
Time ticks away this life.

I've always loved poems about time, and you managed to write a very good one about it. I love the use you put it in.
