Tender Mending

by Twisted Heart   Aug 3, 2007

Pain tears away each layer of trust within your soul
Each word of truth is lost inside the niche of liar's hold
A breath of loss comes quickly as hurt begins to fall
Upon the heart surrounded by love's victim to it's call.

Inside mere mind a thought may cross lending you release
In judgement of the parting of dear love that can't be seen
The single tear of fabric in your soul begins to fray
Then pulls apart the very seams that held well yesterday.

Dark waters dip upon the edge of distant fantasies
Throws winds of contentment to shadowed faith debris
Steel hunger for redemption from harnesses of hate
Begins to find a solace in the sound of every break.

Come tender tears to wash away troubles of the heart
Mending rips and soften edges of each shattered part
Once more to bring a comfort to a soul lost in despair
That sits alone against the night waiting for repair.
